With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Russell L. Clay of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on November 27, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell L. Black and Ruth P. Black (Fry). He is survived by: his wife Sherry Nation; his children, Gina Sims (Terry) of New Berlin, IL, Dawn Lilly (Kenny) of Springfield and Daniel Tannehill of Springfield; and his grandchildren, Tasha Sims, Cheyenne Huff, Chase Clay, Caitlyn Behymer and Harley Nelson. He is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Those who wish may direct memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
