We are sad to announce that on July 7, 2023, at the age of 84, Rosemary Sturtz Sammons of Springfield, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Sturtz and Myrtle Mayhew. She is survived by: her children, Donna L. Sammons (John Glessner) of Seattle, WA, Michal Ann Greenboam (Robert) of South Bend, IN, David Sammons, Jr. (Sharon) of Springfield and Benjamin Sammons of LaGrange Park, IL; her grandchildren, Robert Hobbs, Mary Beth Hobbs, Kyle Hobbs, Amber Sammons and Alyssa Sammons; and her sister Suzanne Kraus of San Francisco, CA. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.

“My name is Alex Chabez, though I never met rosemary, I got to know about her through her son, Ben. Sadly, my friend and coworker also unexpectedly passed away in recent months. I still miss him at our usual spot in the company lunch room. I wish to offer for my heartfelt condolences to his family for such a tragic loss of two family members within the short span of less than a year. Not only from me but also on behalf of many of Ben’s friends and coworkers. We ALL miss him!”
