It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rosemary Hocking of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on October 13, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony John Cuma and Mildred Misovik. She is survived by: her children, Laura Borski (Jeff) of Springfield and Drew Hocking (Sarah) of Springfield; her grandchildren, Tyler LeMasters, Andreas Geranios, Sophia Geranios and Cody Hocking; and her sisters, Diane Buhlig (Jim) of Jacksonville and Nancy Dugan (Michael) of Ora Valley, AZ. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan's Purse.

“Your mother was a precious soul who I will greatly miss. We had a lot of laughs, shared stories and planned to go to Key West which sadly didn't happen. She spoke so lovingly of her kids and I honestly never heard one negative word about either of you. Laura always sounded strong and brave and Drew compassionate. She was a proud mama. My heart will take Avery long time to heal but I am so blessed to have known her. Sherry”
