He was predeceased by: his parents, Roman Clarence and Dorothy Davis Romer; and his siblings, Tom, Bob Romer, Joan and Lynn Bayliss.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Romer (Gina) of Springfield, Mark Romer of Buffalo Grove, IL and Matt Romer (Melissa) of Galena, IL; his grandchildren, Joe Ryan, Jessica Ryan, Jackie Romer, Olivia Romer, Reese Romer, Kellyn Romer, Roman Romer and Brant Romer; his great grandchild Willow Jensen; and his brothers, Steve, Dick and Joe Romer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
