It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Russell Golden of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on December 26, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his children, Bob Golden (Jeanne) of Greenwich, CT, Bill Golden (Sue) of Chicago, IL and Sharon Dobbs (Joe) of St. Louis, MO.; his grandchildren, Allyson Fassler (Ryan), Alissa Crawford (Ryan), Jennifer Ward (Spencer), Melanie Chaplinsky (Ethan), Jacob Dobbs, Daniel Dobbs and John Golden; and his great grandchildren, James Fassler, Thomas Fassler and Abigail Ward.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Staab Funeral Home - Springfield (1109 S 5th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
