He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert D. Taylor and Mayme West Taylor; and his sisters, Joan Schleyhahn, Roberta Pehlman and Susan Cardoni.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Cater; his children, Robert "Joe" Taylor, Jr., Christine (Mark Cole) and Leann (Craig Drone); his grandchildren, April Taylor (JD Hopper), Mamie Cole (Dylan Hart) and Jeffrey Cole; his great grandchildren, LeAwna Hopper and Colin Hopper; and his sister Patricia Mayol. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
