He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E. Burton and Esther Burton (Durr). He is survived by: his wife DeeAnne Burton of Springfield; his children, Rachel Marie Goedecke (Nick) of Chatham and Robert E. Burton of Springfield; his grandchildren, Oliver, Owen and Oaklan Goedecke; and his sister Sandra Blakelock. He is also survived by two nieces and four nephews.
