With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard V. Griffitts of Springfield, Illinois, born in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, who passed away on September 23, 2021 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother JoAnna M. Griffitts (Koehler); his brother Timothy Griffitts; and his brother-in-law Kirby Simmering. He is survived by: his father Harry H. Griffitts of Riverton; his wife Diana Tippett; his daughters, April Wolford (Jack) of Springfield and Wendy Brehmer (J. R.) of Indianapolis; his sisters, Roxanna Wardell (Elmer) of Buffalo, Tammie Monier (Butch) of Port Charlotte, FL, Lori Simmering and Lona Boggs (Curt) of Riverton; his grandchildren, Jenna, Brandy, Taylor and Sienna; his great grandchildren, Erin, Gage, Nicholina, Arabella and Damien; and his close friends, Tom Fish (Shirley) of Springfield and Shane Prater (Cindy) of Springfield. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and many friends.
