He is survived by: his wife Joyce (VanDerWal); his children, Michael Carter (Brenda) and Jamie Singer (Brandon) of Sherman; his siblings, Robert Carter (Nancy) and Diane Simmons-Carter (Paul); his grandchildren, Connor of Sherman, IL., Kyle Carter of Sherman, IL., Braylon of Sherman, IL. and Jayla Singer of Sherman, IL.; and his siblings-in-law, Edward VanDerWal, Sharon Graham and Deborah Turner (Bill).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Butler Funeral Home-Springfield (900 S 6th St, Springfield, IL 62703).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a charity of the donor's preference.
