He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph M. Jr. Patkus and Leora J. Patkus (Faust); his wife Susan Lane Brady; his former wife Carol D. Farley; and also James M. Patkus.
He is survived by: his daughter Nanci Smilie (Scott); his stepdaughter Tina Chrans; and his siblings, Michael Patkus (Kate) and Sandra Hochreiter (Carl "Ron"). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
