He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Frazier and Vera Mae Brown (Williams); his former wife Emily Martin; and his sisters, Jan Darland and Karen Newton.
He is survived by: his sons, Gavin Frazier Brown (Laurie) of Baltimore, MD, Eric Martin Brown of Los Angeles, CA and James Patrick Brown (Amy Madigan) of Springfield; his grandson Declan Padraig Madigan Brown of Springfield; his stepson Richard Paul Unsbee (Catherine) of Bloomington, IL; his stepgranddaughters, Rachel McKenzie Unsbee and Abigail Rose Unsbee; his brother-in-law James Darland of New Lenox, IL; his nephews, Craig and Tim Darland; his niece Kim Darland; and his pets, Lola and Angus.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Central Illinois Food Bank.
