It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael E. Thomas of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on December 3, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edsel Andrace and Betty Thomas (Showalter) of Oakford. He is survived by: his wife Annette Kirby; his sons, Matthew Thomas (Nichole) of Athens and Kyle Thomas (Tiffany) of Oakford; his grandchildren, Hayden, Grant, Kaylie and Brylie; his stepsons, Sean Maisenbacher (Emily) of Springfield and Patrick Maisenbacher of Denver, Colorado; his stepgranddaughters, Bella and Hailey; his brother Kevin Thomas (Nancy) of Petersburg; his nephew Mark Thomas (MiKayla); and his niece Betty Haynes (Dan).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Central Illinois Food Bank or Menard County Fairgrounds.
