With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvin D. Jordan of Springfield, Illinois, born in Murphysboro, Illinois, who passed away on September 6, 2021 at the age of 64. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Melvin D. Jordan to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Jordan, Sr. and Alma Johnson Jordan; and his brothers, Peter Bruce Jordan, Edward Jordan Jr. and Leroy Jordan.

He is survived by: his wife Martha D. Jordan; his sons, Odarian D. Jordan and Quentin L. Jordan; his sisters, Margaret Griffin and Linda Jordan; and his mother-in-law Enora Morris. He is also survived by several in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will conclude with Fraternity and Masonic ceremonies, beginning at 7:00 p. m. Illinois COVID-19 guidance will be followed, requiring face coverings and social distancing.
