With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Lou Long of Springfield, Illinois, born in Anthony, Kansas, who passed away on June 16, 2024 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Addison and Ina Violet Lichlyter (Jones); her husband James Benjamin Long Sr.; her daughter Pamela Jo Delaney; and her brother Japeth "Bud" Lichlyter.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Vaught (Jerry) of Springfield, Venita Lyons (late Larry) of Springfield, Shearl Lohrenz (late Mike) of Springfield, Teri (Bill) of Tucson, AZ, James Long Jr. (Marsha) of Springfield and Kelvin Long of Athens. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
