He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Pickering and Nancy Pickering (Watkins). He is survived by: his stepchildren, Chris Hernandez (Richard) of Springfield, John Kelly of Torrence, CA and Michael Phillips of Springfield; his grandchildren, Richard Hernandez, Jr. (Amanda), Robert Hernandez, Naomi Kelly and Jacquline Kelly; his great grandchild Eva Hernandez; his stepmother Janet Pickering of Ohio; and his siblings, Connie Chilton (Henry) of Pleasant Plains, Kim Livingston (John) of Ohio and Jon Goins (Shelley) of Springfield. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protective League or W.I.L.D. Canine Rescue.
