It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie V. Pope of Springfield, Illinois, born in Depue, Illinois, who passed away on October 17, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Apolinar Gomez and Petra A. Alviso Gomez. She is survived by: her husband Jim of Springfield; her children, Stephen G. Pope (Nancy) of Spartanburg and Catherine Seals of Windermere, Florida; her grandchildren, Chloe and Peyton Seals; and her sister Isabelle Ferrero of Depue. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and a great-great niece.
