With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Marcia A. Strow of Springfield, Illinois, born in Waukegan, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ted K. Pickard and Delores M. Kurwicki; her daughter Emily Strow; and her siblings, Cathy Straube and Gerald Straube Jr. (Jerry).
She is survived by: her children, Andrew Strow (Kimberly Brown) of Springfield and Meredith Strow (Daniel Reifenberger) of Springfield; her son-in-law Jason Stiner (Shelby Young) of Mount Pulaski; her grandchildren, James Stiner of Mount Pulaski and Elizabeth Strow of Springfield; her sisters, Lisa Stolte (Elmer Walker) of Springfield, Laura Glenn (Michael) of Fults, Dee Smith (James) of Springfield and Teddie Radcliffe (Charles) of Paducah, Kentucky; her sister-in-law JoAnne Straube of Memphis, Nebraska; her former husband Brian Strow of Springfield; and her close friends, Carolyn and Kevin Ramey of Springfield. She is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Southwind Park (4965 S 2nd St, Springfield, IL 62703). After retiring, Marcia continued to serve as a nurse for the Sangamon County Department of Public Health during COVID-19, and she was able to travel and enjoy more time with her children, grandson and two Labradoodles (Jessie and Libby).
