It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marcel Joseph Broccardo of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on December 6, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfredo "Cub" Broccardo and Catherine "Nene" Cioni Broccardo; his sister Mary Ann Broccardo Peterman (John); and his sons, Mark Joseph Broccardo and Steven Marcel Broccardo.
He is survived by: his brother-in-law David Fafoglia; his daughter-in-law Connie Broccardo (Hardwick); his grandson Colin Sullivan; his wife Terri; his siblings, Juliann Hughes (Jerry), Phillip Broccardo (David) and Raymond Broccardo (Melissa); his children, Michele Broccardo, Robin Hayes (Mark), Kenneth M. Barry (Debra) and Margaret Campbell Eakins; his daughter-in-law Judy Weitekamp Neal (Ira); his grandchildren, Jason Broccardo (Lisa), Gabriella Goodpasture (Eric), Aija Larry, Corinna House (Brandon), Dante Broccardo, Alexandria Broccardo, Morgan Cox (Aadam), Devin Hayes (Sidnie), Luke Berry (Vanessa) and Kari Fumerola (Chris); and his great grandchildren, Olivia, Elliot, Ian Broccardo, Ava Morris, Makayla, Parker, Zoe House, Mick, Eli, Giovanna Goodpasture, Aubree and Aleena Cox. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
