Lucy Wiseman Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lucy Wiseman of Springfield, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 27, 2025 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lucy Wiseman to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Richard and Caroline Ida Jefford (Hellman); her husband William R. Wiseman; her granddaughter Wendy McKean; and her siblings, Irene Tarpley Lowder, Billy Jefford, Rudolph Jefford and Chuck Jefford.
She is survived by: her former spouse Russell Marvin Dearing, Sr.; her children, Kimla Sue Dearing of Petersburg, Cheryl Lynn Compardo (Sam) of Springfield, Venita Kay Good (Michael) of Peoria, Laura Lillian Wilson of Springfield and Russell M. Dearing of Carlinville; and her brother Henry Lee "Hank" Jefford of Champaign. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory (500 N 4th St, Pekin, IL 61554). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
