Louise Marie Skube Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Louise Marie Skube of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on February 20, 2025 at the age of 97. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Louise Marie Skube to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gallick and Mary Jo Gallick (Katcher); her husband John M. Skube, Jr.; her sons, Mark and James Skube; and her siblings, Lawrence Gallick and Mildred DeMattei.
She is survived by: her children, Denise Skube of St. Louis, MO, Janice Butler (Jack), Mary Jo Wasser (Stanley) of Springfield, IL and Michael Skube (Liz) of Durham, NC; her nephew Bob Gallick; and her niece Nancy Whitaker. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Butler Funeral Home- Springfield (900 S 6th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (1930 Barberry Dr, Springfield, IL 62704).
