He is survived by: his wife Nancy Thompson of Taylorville; his children, Cheryl Bluhm (Joel) of Riverton, Sue Hoemmen (Georg) of Springfield and Louis J. Thompson of Chicago; his grandchildren, Garrett Hoemmen (Thuy) of Portland, OR, Caitlin Hoemmen of Portland, OR, Leigh Ann Anderson (Adam) of Sherman and Nick Bluhm (Jani) of Henderson, NV; his great grandchildren, Lana and Jules Anderson; his grandchild Everson "EJ" Bluhm; and his siblings, Larry Thompson (Carol) of Springfield and JoAnn Williams of Huntington Beach, CA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
