He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester J. Rubley and Aurelia Piper Rubley; his siblings, Jack K. Rubley and Joyce Lambert; his niece Kay Ellen Rice Bell; and his stepfather Clarence Christian.
He is survived by: his niece Brenda Reid; his nephew Robert Reynolds; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kirsten Collison, Heather, Joshua, Rebecca and Kevin Reid; and his cousins, Jan Thies (Rubley) and Don Thannen.
