He was predeceased by: his parents, Onie Leslie and Ruby Maye Hughes; his brother Ronald H. Hughes, Sr.; and his daughter Lori Hughes. He is survived by: his sons, Michael Hughes (Molly) and Scott Hughes; and his close friend Veronica "Roni" Charles. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
