He was predeceased by: his parents, Rolland H. Forbes and Mary Frances Rapps Forbes; and his brothers, Rolland and Donald Forbes. He is survived by: his fiancée Mary Kurfman of Divernon; his sons, Lawrence Forbes, Jr. of Springfield, Patrick Forbes of Springfield and Christopher Forbes of Springfield; and his brother Richard Forbes (Sheva) of Glenarm. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Staab Funeral Home - Springfield (1109 S 5th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church (2125 N 21st St, Springfield, IL 62702).
