He was predeceased by: his father Robert Kabat; his wife Nancy Kabat; his mother Dororthy Orlowski (Daniel); and his pet Kasey. He is survived by: his pet Trooper; his sisters, Pamela Reichard (Leonard) of Chicago Ridge, IL and Deb Boersma (Dennis) of Manteno, IL; his children, Kimberly Bayer (Jesse), Kara Bohne of Western Springs, IL, Kraig Kabat (Stefani) of Homewood, IL and Kris Kabat (Lauren) of Chicago, IL; his stepchildren, Jeff Call (Jessi) and Christine Call of Springfield, IL; and his grandchildren, Jack, Ellery Bayer, Luke, Lylah Bohne, Kaden Kabat, Lucy Kabat, Quentin Call, Marnie and Maple Rimelspach. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
