He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Olaf Schroeder and Virginia Elizabeth Schroeder (McDonough); his wife Sharon; his sister Carol Taylor; his daughter Barbara Cody; his stepgranddaughter Kaitlin Christy; and his great grandchildren, Logan and Nathan Roberts.
He is survived by: his daughters, Martha Blackwell of Springfield and Amy Mihalich (Ron) of New Berlin; his grandchildren, Eric Schroeder of Springfield, Ashley Mihalich of Springfield, Nicholas Mihalich of Springfield and Jessica Roberts (Brad) of Evansville, IN; his stepchildren, Marsha Morgan (Tim) of Springfield and Lee Ingraham (Gina) of South Carolina; and also Laura Taylor (John) of Elizabethtown, Kentucky.. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.
