It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Sharer of Springfield, Illinois, born in Owensboro, Kentucky, who passed away on July 30, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville Atkinson and Olive Atkinson (Kirk); her sister Mary Christine; her granddaughter Angela Cashen; her brothers-in-law, Ernest Sutherlin, Dave Rickard and Steve Howe; and her son-in-law Mike Noel.
She is survived by: her husband Gerald; her children, Vicki Sharer of Bulpitt, Beth Cashen (Thomas) of Pawnee, Jennifer Noel of Kincaid, Steven Sharer (Angela) of Pawnee and Kristin Sharer of Bullpitt; her grandchildren, Thomas Cashen Jr. (Brandi), Corey Cashen (Agnes), Matthew Jones (Marcia), Lindan Noel, Morgan LeMar (Clint), Austin and Rachel Sharer; her great grandchildren, Reese, Audrey Cashen, McKenna, Laykin Jones and Casen LeMar; and her siblings, Anna Sutherlin, Phyllis Rickard, Sharon Houston, Milbra Howe, Orville and Kirk Atkinson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
