He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Anderson and Freda Engstrom Anderson; and his sister Jean Anderson. He is survived by: his wife Lucy Anderson of Springfield; and his cousin David Erickson of Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sugar Creek United Methodist Church, Midwest Mission Distribution Center, and the Animal Protective League.
