He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Shade and Norma Shade (Grussemeyer); and his siblings, Mike Shade, Pat and Cindy Shade.
He is survived by: his siblings, Rebecca "Becky" Reddie (Dave) of Quincy, IL, Steve Shade of Quincy, IL and Mary "Meg" Rogers (Ron) of Springfield, IL; his niece Amy Lally (Doug) of Springfield, IL; his nephew Jason Blentlinger of Golden, IL; his aunt Lorna Shade; and his cousins, Sharon Lawrence (Luke) of Texas, Michael Grussemeyer of Florida, Carol of California, William of California, Thomas of California and James Matella of California. He is also survived by two great-nieces; two great-nephews.
