He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike Beninato and Grace Beninato; his wife Betty Miller; his son Steven Beninato; and his siblings, Benjamin Beninato and Nancy Slagel.

He is survived by: his son Douglas Beninato of Springfield; and his brother Nick Beninato of Springfield. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
