It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan C. Bangert of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on April 3, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther James "Bud" and Elizabeth Huff (Distelzweig); and her husband Donald Bangert. She is survived by: her children, Stacey Wieties of Fayetteville, AR, Regina Kaiser (Michael) of Springfield, Elizabeth Friedman (Jeff) of Springfield, Peter Douglas "Doug" Bangert (Stacy) of Springfield, Bradley Bangert (Karen) of Dunlap, Craig Bangert (Shari) of Sherman, Scott Bangert (Shawn) of Springfield and Brian Bangert of Springfield. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
