It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jo Ann Burt of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on February 28, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ercole "Bowser" Viele and Eileen Viele (Nudo); and her daughter Debra Day. She is survived by: her husband Roy Burt of Springfield; her son Jeff Burt (Angela) of Springfield; her grandchildren, Jason Griffin (Jessica) of Springfield, Ryan Griffin (Jenny) of Springfield, Heather Fargusson (Craig) of Springfield, Jarrod Day of Springfield, Adrianne Tieman of Springfield and Alexandra "Lexi" Smith of Springfield; her siblings, Sylvanne Moffett of Athens, IL, Donna Woolsey of Petersburg, IL and Dan Viele (Janice) of St. Louis, MO; and her siblings-in-law, Jerry Burt and Francine Bramlet of Pawnee, IL. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins, 12 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
