Jay Schukai Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jay Schukai of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on November 4, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Jay shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Jay farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Glennon Schukai and Virginia Schmidt Schukai. He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Schukai (Melissa) of Springfield and Emilie Schukai of Chicago; and his grandchildren, Hunter and Molly Schukai.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Camp Butler National Cemetery (5063 Camp Butler Rd, Springfield, IL 62707).
