James W. Young Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James W. Young of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on April 18, 2025 at the age of 78. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James W. Young to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph A. Young and Ruth L. Young (Carter); his siblings, Charles, George Young and Patricia McLean; and his grandchild Ryker Young.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Young of Springfield; his children, James "Jimmy" M. Young (Angie) of Chestnut, IL and Amy L. Young (Charlie Fornoff) of Springfield; his grandchildren, James Cheek, Brayden Young, Kye Shoopman, Ava Workman, Remi Woodburn and Beckett Young; and his brother Leroy Young of Springfield. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A reception will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Butler Funeral Home - Springfield (900 S 6th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A prayer will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Butler Funeral Home - Springfield Springfield (900 S 6th St, Springfield, IL 62703).
