It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Otto Mees of Springfield, Illinois, born in Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on March 25, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert T. Mees and Susie Langston Mees (Langston); and his brother William. He is survived by: his sisters, Christine Schultz, Karen Johnson and Kathy Wanda; his wife Patricia Roland; and his son David. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Grace Lutheran Food Pantry, 714 E. Capitol Ave., Springfield, IL 62701.
