He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Handy and Ruby "Nan" Handy; his granddaughter Taylor Claire Handy-Buckley; and his siblings, Eugene, Russell Handy, Betty Fry, Shirley Reynolds and Barbara Handy-Pease.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Hartley; his children, Jamie Handy-Rhodes, Elizabeth Hartley (Alex Glaub), Tara Eagan (Robert), Shawn Grissom (Pam), Barbara Hamlin (David) and Valerie Dubree; his sister Sue Taylor; his grandchildren, Hailey Handy-Rhodes, Lane Glaub, Thomas Smith, Olivia Eagan, Rylee Grissom, Damon Hamlin, McKayla Hamlin and Morgan Dubree; and his great grandchild Salem Hamlin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many extended family.
