He was predeceased by: his parents, August Nika and Anna Nika (Ciesler); his siblings, Anna Marie Nika, Fred Nika, Paul Nika (late Judy) and Leona Tertel; his nephew Jeff Branham; and his niece Lisa Page.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Ann Nika of Springfield; his daughter Anna Kathleen Nika Mengal; his son-in-law Eric Mengal of Carrollton, TX; his grandchildren, Reed Arlington, Christian Tyler, Grant Lucas and Audrey Leona Mengel; his siblings, Helen Branham (late Merle) of Springfield, Lois Cory (late Gene) of Rochester and Robert Nika (late Gloria) of Springfield; and his sister-in-law Mary Carol Nika of Berlin, IL. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins; and many extended family.
