He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Calvin and Stella Anita Mikesell DeWitt; his wife Pauline F. Howe; his son-in-law David Tolbert; and his siblings, Joyce, Dorothy, Maxine, Irene, Tom and Sid.
He is survived by: his children, Paula Tolbert of Springfield and Sam DeWitt (Wendy Vitolo) of East Hampton, NY; and his granddaughter Carrie Tolbert of Springfield.
