He is survived by: his daughter Monica Davis of Georgia; his siblings, John Cecil Davis, Jr. and Pearl; his brother-in-law Floyd Day Sr.; his sister Cora; his brothers-in-law, Charles Rhoades and James Simmons; his nieces and nephews, Bruce, Floyd Day Jr., Lonnie Davis, Belinda Lanier and Cheryl Davis; his great-nephew Christopher Madison; his cousin Helen Bowen of Colp, IL.; his son Gary Davis (Retha) of Pomona California; his grandchildren, Garia, Tarra Davis of California, Ricky, Ryan Johnson Sr. of Virginia, Monica Spurgeon and Arthur Cooper Jr. of Georgia; his great grandchildren, Ryan Johnson, Jr., Anthony Spurgeon Jr. and Ava Spurgeon; his sister Christine Davis-Simmons of Chicago, IL; his cousins, Wanda Timms of Springfield, Marcella Clark, Mary Ann Duncan, Denver Powers of Colp, IL and Richard Bowen; his nieces, Doretta Crawford, Michelle Rhoades Briggity of Springfield and Patricia Davis of Chicago; his cousin Gwenetta Kincaid; and his close friend Linda Dickerson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
