He was predeceased by: his parents, Everette J. Rush and Jessie Rush (Antel); and his brothers, Richard and Everett Rush. He is survived by: his wife Donna J. Reynolds; his children, Herbert Rush, Jr. (Carolyn) of Petersburg, Robert Rush (Marianne) of Pleasant Plains and Judy Pohl (Jim) of Petersburg; his grandchildren, Katie McLeod (Colt) of Decatur, Kellie White (Alec) of Freeburg, Steven Rush of Springfield, Colton Pohl (Taylor) of Ashland and Jenny Shoup (Jon) of Pleasant Plains; and his great grandchildren, Brody McLeod, Hallie McLeod, Jackson White and Lainey Shoup.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
