She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard E. and Clara Nierhoff Harrell, Sr.; her husband Edward W. "Buck" Smith; her son Larry D. Smith; and her brothers, Howard E. Harrell, Jr. and William B. Harrell.
She is survived by: her son Ronald E. Smith (Lin) of Springfield; her grandchildren, Ronnie Smith, Andrea McCubbin and Kimberly O'Connor; her great grandchildren, Blake O'Connor (Tricia), Carson McCubbin and Kingston McCubbin; and her great great grandchild Sloane O'Connor. She is also survived by several nieces and cousins.
