We are sad to announce that on November 30, 2023, at the age of 87, Hazel Ruth Crain of Springfield, Illinois, born in Petersburg, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James L. Gillmore and Audie M. Gillmore (Ferguson); her husband James T. Crain; and her sisters, Linda Kincaid (Larry) of Petersburg and Deborah Westway (Terry) of Conesville, Iowa.

She is survived by: her children, Jeanne Weaver (John) of Petersburg, Kathleen Bachman of Springfield, Richard Crain (Melinda) of Mount Washington and Thomas Crain (Cyndy) of Springfield; and her brothers, Donald Gillmore (Becky) of Hudson and Richard Gillmore (Linda) of Petersburg. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and seven step-great grandchildren.
