He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry D. Richards and Ina Richards (Smith); his wife Edna Mae Aggertt; and his sisters, Ruby Heffern Laurenzana and Alice Riecks.
He is survived by: his children, Julie Richards (Sanjay Saigal) of Menlo Park, CA, Jean Richards (Bob Sablotny) of Springfield, Jane Marawar (Ravi) of Austin, TX and H. D. Richards of San Francisco, CA; and his grandchildren, Uma Elizabeth Richards Marawar of Austin, Rob Sablotny of Thailand and James Sablotny of Colorado.
