He is survived by: his brother Bill Staples of Springfield; his niece Samantha Staples of Springfield; his great-nieces, Kaylee and Kaytlin Staples; his nieces and nephews, Dawn Staples, April Staples, William Staples, Jr., Chad Staples and Cindy Geiger; his great-niece Makayla Rhodes; his stepson Wesley Gary; his pet Millie; and also Kai Staples.
