George touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though George may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those George touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his father George Richards Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Mary A. Richards Richards; and his siblings, Martina Richards Boyd, Elnora Richards Perkins, Joyce Richards, Rosie Richards, Judy Bell (Billy), Harvey Richards (Debra), Carla Brown (Marvin), Bridgit Walton (Lamont) and Mary Ann Richards. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Oak Hill Cemetery (1000 S 19th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
