George L. Parnell Sr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 14, 2024, at the age of 99, George L. Parnell Sr. of Springfield, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey L. Parnell and Teresa Nelch Parnell; his wife Frances Lockhart; his close friend Juanita Hodack; his grandchildren, Eddie Verardi, Shane Parnell and Larry Parnell; and his siblings, LaSalle Parnell, Tessie Krimle, Neva Sauer, Delores Cleeton, Donna Priddy and Norma Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Parnell of Rochester, Theresa Verardi of Springfield, Barb Cheak (Jim) of Conway, AR, George Parnell, Jr. (Aro) of Springfield and Dave Parnell of Springfield. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
