With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Floyd R. Houk of Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on January 8, 2025 at the age of 91. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Floyd R. Houk to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Durward Houk and Bessie Houk (Rose); his wife Georgianne Roy-Gibson; his son Brett Allen Houk; his brother Eugene Henry Houk; and his sister-in-law Betty Lou Houk.
He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Russi, Dawn Rae Houk-Miller (Dave) and Bradley Gene Houk (Ruth); and his grandchildren, Marissa, Sean Miller, Anne Sidhu (Paul), Sara Russi, Rachael Houk, Esther Powers (Justin), Nathan Houk (Sharon), Priscilla Mancil (Brennan) and Anna Houk. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Staab Funeral Home - Springfield (1109 S 5th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A masonic service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 12:15 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Children's in St. Louis.
