It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ellen M. Whitney of Springfield, Illinois, born in Evanston, Illinois, who passed away on July 14, 2021, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend C. H. and Irene Whitehurst Todd; her spouse Francis A. Whitney; and her siblings, Harold Todd and Grace Todd.
She is survived by: her son Blair Whitney (Rita) of Springfield; her granddaughters, Ruth Antonoff (Ken) of Glendale, WI and Helen Whitney of Springfield; and her great grandchildren, Zachary of Glendale, Chelsea Marek of Glendale, Eva of Glendale and Joseph Antonoff of Glendale.
Per Ellen's request, anatomical donation has taken place and no services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Lincoln Library 326 South 7th Street, Springfield, IL 62701.
