It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edward Ramsey of Springfield, Illinois, born in Tilden, Illinois, who passed away on August 15, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Orbley Ramsey and Jesse Ramsey (Taylor); his children, Edana Funk (Ronald) and Eddie Dane Ramsey; his stepson Jimmie; and his siblings, Ruby Singer, Darlene Long, Thelma Miller, Orbley Ramsey, Edith Rogers and Isabel Koett.

He is survived by: his wife Janet Ramsey (Ferguson); his daughters, Bonnie Chandler (Mark), Misty Matykiewicz (Tom), Paula Gonterman (Robert), Jeanne Commer (Paul) and Lori Rogers (Donnie); his sister Violet McQuern (James); and his stepchildren, Debbie, Russell, Connie, Eldon Jr., Jeff and Greg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital.
