He is survived by: his parents, Wilson Maxey and Esther Byers Maxey; his wife Geraldine "Gerry" Maxey of Springfield; and his children, Edward C., Rick, Kayla Maxey of Springfield, Gerri Lynn, Murdock of Moline, Julie and Smith of Salisbury, IL. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
